yes yes yes i love penguins. ever since...

i visited the little penguins at phillip island nature park in aussie. i think i liked them way before that but the little penguin outside the washroom left such a deep impression on me :) i cant forget the look on its face you know. its so small and so vulnerable and so cute la :) so wanted to take a photograph of it but i was afraid that the flash might hurt its eyes. YAY YAY pretty penguins.

and the penguin parade was damn magnificent. dozens and dozens of them emerging from the water and walking back to their little nests. penguins have their little cliques too. and a clique leader. it's so sweet to see those who walk faster stop and turn and look at their friends who are lagging behind. when everyone catches up, the clique continues its walk back to the nest.

happy memories of aussie (: but too bad no photo taking or filming allowed. i wanna visit the little penguins again!

some penguin facts! :D

Do penguins have knees?
Yes. Penguins appear to have very short legs and no knees because only the lower leg is externally visible. Their knees and upper legs are feather covered, hiding them from view. This also means that penguins never get cold knees!

Do polar bears eat penguins?
No, penguins cleverly avoid being eaten by polar bears by living in separate hemispheres!

Do penguins fly?
No, penguins use their wings (called flippers) to propel themselves through water rather than air. Because water is much more dense than air, penguin wings are shorter and stouter than the wings of flying birds. Penguins are also much heavier than similar sized flying birds and have solid bones rather than weight-saving air-filled bones. While these characteristics enable penguins to efficiently "fly" through water, they have had to sacrifice the ability to fly in air to do so.

and here's my penguin & polar bear threadless tee <3
little penguins sing to meeeeeeee :D

happy penguins. happy funshine :D
